HARVEY C. JACKSON, JR. was born on the 12th day of July, 1928, in St. Clair County, Illinois to the union of Mr. Harvey C. Jackson, Sr. and Carolyn Millines, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lois E. Jackson; and his two brothers, Norman L. Jackson and Kenneth Jackson. He was a graduate of Lincoln Senior High School, where he played the saxophone in the band along with Miles Davis. In 1957, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Miss Annie M. (Earl). The union was blessed with a daughter and two sons. He started his Accounting and Income Tax business in 1958. He was educated at Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. He attended McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois. He departed this life on Saturday, October 16, 2010. He leaves to celebrate his life: four sons, John (Cynthia) E. Jackson of Austin, Texas, Harvey C. (Mable) Jackson III of St. Louis, Missouri, Daryl A. Jackson of East St. Louis, Illinois and Brandon (Karmen) Edwards of Madison, Illinois; two stepdaughters, Carol Ann Earl (deceased) of Springfield, Illinois and Rhonda Edwards of East St. Louis, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Harvey C. Jackson IV, LaTia N. Jackson, Markus D. Jackson, Raven D. LaBon, Yolanda Jackson, Tyann Jackson, John Jackson, Jr. and Keiana Jackson; one sister, Wanda (John C.) Jackson-Hunter of Denver, Colorado; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. And He is also survived by a very special friends, Verneda Edwards, Phyllis Robinson and Beverly Mayweather
